The village of Chilham is a short walk with its castle, pubs, hotel post office, farm shop, doctors and primary school. Chilham also has a mainline train station connection to Ashford International for high speed trains to London or Canterbury.

Canterbury and Ashford are about 7 miles in either direction and there are bus links to secondary schools. The property is on a working farm with animals and machinery, the house is well away from this but the landlord does ask tenants to take this into account before arranging a viewing. Well behaved pets and children may be accepted.
